Concordia University Chicago's Sydney Fuller and Benedictine University's Emma Redfern have been named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference offensive and defensive players of the week for events of Feb. 26-Mar. 4, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Fuller (Bristol, Ind.) scored a goal and set up five more as the Cougars earned their first win of the season with a 12-9 victory over Concordia University Ann Arbor Sunday. The junior midfielder added two goals in the season opener versus Hanover College Monday. She added 10 ground balls and eight draw controls for the week.
Redfern (Fair Oaks, Calif.) made 13 saves in goal during the Eagles' come-from-behind season-opening win over Trine University. The sophomore added nine groundballs and a pair of caused turnovers.
